President Obama Makes U.S. More Pro-Life

At least that’s the conclusion that Gallup made after they found, for the first time, that a majority of Americans polled considered themselves pro-life. This majority is not a fluke, either. They saw an increase in every category (except among liberals, of course). I don’t know what this means politically, for the majority in Washington are still pro-choice. But it is encouraging to know that the glass is not half-empty. Praise God for common grace and his persevering church.

  1. This is precisely why I don’t think that Republicans need to wring their hands and start compromising their principles just because they had a bad election year. They are in the right on exactly the same issues they are looking to shy away from, like abortion and gay marriage. But they allow themselves to be shamed into thinking they are backwards thinking by the mainstream media.

Next thing you know, we’ll end up like Sweden which just legalized gender based abortions.

I’m not a militant conservative. The good Lord knows that we could stand to show a little more compassion and have a better sense of justice sometimes, but there are core principles that we simply cannot surrender.
