Annie and I were watching television earlier tonight, and I overheard something interesting. A Tonka commercial came on advertising their newest toy. Their slogan was clear: “Built for boyhood”. Perhaps while the church struggles over issues of manhood, womanhood and gender distinctions, God would rebuke us through a child toy company. Thankfully, we have a more sure word than a TV slogan (cf. 2 Pet. 1). But it is good to find a little common grace in unexpected places.
